Fourteen-year-old Warda fled to Lebanon from Syria with her family in 2012. Her life in a former cowbarn near Zahlé in the Bekaa Valley is one of many. Syrian girls typically help with work in the house and often aren't allowed to attend school. This story shows how Warda manages to help the family while enjoying a little bit of freedom.

Warda's aunt Khitam hands her her niece Hola. The two families live side by side in Mokyiam Al-Kaser.
